Time for Muslims to introspect

Shirin Khokhawala urges fellow Muslims to reject hate and return to the Prophet's teachings of love
THE Muslim community stands at the crossroads today.
It is an opportunity for each of us who follows the faith to introspect.
It is time to gain an understanding of why the Muslim stands where he stands. I write this out of love for my community, that struggles today with words like Islamophobia and Islamic fascism.
The Muslim community has fallen into an emotional trap. Muslims have allowed hate to permeate their psyche. Today we hate everything that we consider 'unislamic.'
We have turned into hate machines and everything from Valentine's Day to Westernization is hated with holy intensity.
Hate targets non-believers
Hate, like love, needs more food to grow. So it targets the 'kafirs', or everyone who does not believe in the Unity of Allah, The Most Powerful.
The hate has got so well imbibed in the Muslim psyche that it manifests itself in action.
The terror, the killing and vengeance against all that is 'unislamic', sprouts out of this phenomenon. Muslims have turned into lovers of hate.
Now, the world hates us
Life has come a full circle for the Muslims and today the whole world says, 'we hate Muslims.' In turn the Muslims look to their left and right and wonder what they have done to deserve this.
Prophet taught love, forgiveness
If one is to examine the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet, nowhere has the emotion of hate been taught or approved.
The Prophet of the fastest growing religion on earth did not change anybody's heart towards Islam with hate. It was his teachings of love, forgiveness and equality that attracted people to Islam in droves.
We cannot let Satan succeed
The simple game plan of the Devil (Satan) to lead us into his territory, away from the love and warmth of Allah, The Benevolent, is succeeding.
All we Muslims need to do is revert back to the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet of love and peace.
We need to change our psyche, to lift ourselves to a new high ground, where the mud thrown at our community will not reach.
We have to give up this hate that has overtaken our psyche and give ourselves up to love.
This is the only way we can change this world of hate.

Shirin Khokhawala - Mid-day(India)

After searching for reason why Muslims are always found in the central reason for terrorism or rather put it in this why they are blammed for it, i found something that did gave me few answers to it. so i thought i would share this News article with all of us in tblog.

I expect your views on it - May be my views woulod be wrong or from where i m looking at this issue may be wrong, so i would like see the other side too if somebody has it please do say.

Atheist vs Divine Feeling what do you think.

Hi, after a long long time im posting, but not without a reason, again a question that poped up in my mind that i want to discuss. In India it is the time of GaneshUtsav(famously known as Elephant God), specifically in Mumbai where i stay. I m an atheist in a sense, not completely, i don’t believe in superstitions and all that, but when i noticed something about this divine things happening(basically blind faith of people) like sea water becoming sweet, people seeing mother Mary in sky and Jesus in walls and all that, and people erupting to see it as gods divine presence and all that ok, i being an atheist would deny all that.

But something that i believe every human deserve is happiness, and if you see the faces of those who believe in those events where really happy to just be present for that moment. People like us would say it idiotic, but somewhere i feel its the feeling of gods divine presence for them that made them happy, that we all want be happy. Few days ago i went to a house where this ganeshutsav was being celebrated you can see the happiness in their, in this festival they bring home the idol of the god ganesha as a guest please him with their prayer and you can see the happiness, they tend to forget all the things around and just become happy to see their favorite god in their houses.

Being an atheist i felt are we doing right or wrong by trying to say them like their is nothing divine on this earth it is something scientific are we removing that feeling of blind faith are a moment of happiness from our life. May be i m nobody to answers this, but in reality i m in trouble of my own feelin whether i myself doin right or wrong.

What do you all think.............
